The company's roots were planted nearly a century ago when Angelo Tomasso, Sr., grandfather of the current principals, started his own construction company in New Britain, Connecticut. While laying the infrastructure for many of the state's major roads and highways, Mr. Tomasso and his son, Angelo, Jr., steadily built a reputation for commitment to service, quality of product, and unparalleled responsiveness to client needs.

Over the years, the Tomasso family developed a diverse portfolio of properties, including commercial office buildings, industrial and retail facilities, apartment complexes, an airport and golf courses. To oversee the day-to-day operations of their holdings, the Tomassos created an in-house property management company in the late 1970s. Today that company, known as Tunxis Management Company, has grown into a team of highly dedicated, experienced professionals, responsible for the management of a wide range of properties throughout Southern New England.

The business philosophy of Tunxis Management is based on principles established by the Tomasso family beginning with Angelo Tomasso Sr., continuing through Angelo Tomasso Jr., and to the grandsons today.  Those principles are:
