Tunxis Management Company's roots go back nearly 90 years, when Angelo Tomasso, Sr., grandfather of the company's principals, started his own construction firm. In the process of laying the highway infrastructure for major roads in Connecticut and the Northeast, the Tomasso family started their own real estate company in 1968. Through proven, practical methods, The Tomassos developed a diverse portfolio of properties over a period of many years, including commercial office buildings, retail and industrial facilities, an airport, a golf course and apartment buildings. As the portfolio grew, the need to develop a management company, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the family holdings, became apparent. As a result, Tunxis Management Company was formed, and today Tunxis' team of professionals oversees property management operations for numerous properties held by private developers, institutions, and the State of Connecticut.

Currently, The Tomasso Companies employ approximately 150 people. Tunxis' staff includes property managers, financial management personnel, integrated asset management personnel, golf course personnel and a varied workforce of skilled and licensed skilled workers.

Tunxis Management Company currently manages more than four million square feet of commercial space in Southern New England for clients such as General Electric, T.A. Associates Realty, Fleet Bank, Los Angeles County Employee Retirement Account, The Bushnell, Alecta, The Archdiocese of Hartford and the State of Connecticut, as well as private investment entities. Our tenant roster ranges from local law firms to regional offices for Fortune 100 Companies.

Our property management abilities are diverse. We manage Tunxis Plantation Golf Course & Banquet Facilities in Farmington, Connecticut, a 45-hole public golf course, complete with restaurant and banquet facilities for up to 600 people. We also manage Robertson Airport in Plainville, a 45-acre industrial park in Bristol, and office parks in New Britain and Plainville with a combined master-planned area in excess of 1,200,000 square feet.
